Class Descriptions
Pre-Beginner Ages 3-5 - this class introduces the basic principles of Irish dance including rhythm, footwork and memorizing steps. No experience required.
Beginner for ages 5 & up - this class will jump right into traditional Irish steps for 1st-year (or very young 2nd-year) dancers. No experience required. These dancers will be able to do a reel, jig and slipjig by the end of the year, and will have performance & competition opportunities.
Advanced Beginner new students 8 & up - or returning students having completed 1 or more full year of dance. We will begin working in hard shoes, refining technique and encouraging competitions for those who are interested.
Stretch & Strengthening - This class will build core strength, flexibility & endurance thru Pilates exercises, stretching and Irish dance drills. Drop-in payment of $10 per class or $100 per session.
Boys Only Class - We are now offering a Boys Only Class on Saturday afternoons! Boys receive a tuition discount. Email for more info!
General Guidelines (A full copy of the Parent Handbook is available the first day of class).
- Dress Code: School T-shirt and School Shorts, available at the studio ($10-$12 each). Alternatively, Irish dance tshirt and plain black shorts or skorts. Leotards for prebeginners are fine. Absolutely no denim. Dancers not in uniform will be asked to observe.
- Wear ballet slippers or socks if you don't have Irish dance shoes. Shoes can be purchased in studio in September.
- Bring water
- Don't be late, have your shoes on, and be stretched out BEFORE your class time begins!
